Episode Title:Chance Meeting.Episode Description:Izana and the squad leader abandon their crashed Gardes and explore the surface of Lem IX. However, they are spotted and chased by a humanoid Gauna to the edge of a cliff, which collapses beneath them. As they fall in the direction of a swarm of Gauna, they are rescued in the nick of time by Nagate, who is forced to exhaust his ammunition before using his synthetic Kabi blade on the last three targets. Meanwhile, Tsumugi defeats the Crimson Hawk Moth, but she hesitates to destroy its core when Placenta Shizuka appears from the inside. Before Tsumugi can react, the Crimson Hawk Moth pierces Tsumugi in the throat with a spike and drains the majority of her energy supply to restore itself. The Crimson Hawk Moth then impales Tsumugi with a volley of spikes, but Nagate appears and engages the Crimson Hawk Moth in combat. When Nagate's visual signal malfunctions during battle, the Crimson Hawk Moth infiltrates Nagate's cockpit and Placenta Shizuka appears in front of him.
